Join LSF at the Night of ideas

The Night of IdeasThe Bay Area’s premier celebration of creativity and critical thinking returns to the San Francisco Public Library’s Main Branch! The 6th annual Night of Ideas unites local cultural organizations, visionary artists, and thought leaders to reimagine a future for urban life—one that is more equitable, culturally rich, and sustainable.


San Francisco City Librarian Michael Lambert and his Chief of Public Services, Dolly Goyle (Class of 2025), warmly invite all LSF alumni to an exclusive private reception before the venue opens to the general public. The reception will be held in Michael's private office.


Schedule of Events

5:30pm = $15 Private LSF Reception with Food & Drink (LSF Only and Space is limited!!)


7:00pm = Doors open to general public. Night of Ideas is a free event for all. If you can't join for the reception, please join any time after 7pm


8:00pm: Show off those pearly whites! Join us for an LSF group photo at the statue between the Library and the Asian Art Museum.


8:30pm: Electronic Light Show outside the Library
